PRIVATE TUTORING · IRVINE & NEWPORT BEACH

The right support.
For the work in front of them.

One-on-one tutoring in most K–12 subjects, plus SAT and ACT preparation. Find the support that fits your student’s course, goals and stage of learning.

Most lessons take place in your home in Irvine or Newport Beach. Public locations and online via Zoom are also options. Adam personally recommends your tutor and remains involved as your student’s needs develop.

SUBJECTS & TEST PREPARATION

Start with what
your student needs.

CHOOSING AN EXAM

Choose a test.
Give preparation a clear focus.

We generally recommend comparing the options, then preparing for one exam. Tell us about your student’s experience, practice results and intended test date; we can help you discuss the fit before building a plan.

SAT preparation

The digital SAT has Reading and Writing and Math sections. Preparation can combine content review, practice with the modular format and a deliberate approach to questions and pacing.

ACT preparation

ACT preparation focuses on English, math and reading, plus science or writing if selected. We discuss the registered sections and format, then target the skills and pacing that need attention.

Explore ACT tutoring

Choosing a test is a separate conversation from preparing for it. We do not assume your student should study for both. College policies vary; review current requirements with each institution.

HONORS & AP

Depth for the course.
Practice for the assessment.

Advanced coursework calls for a tutor who knows the material and can teach it clearly. Share the exact AP or honors class, current unit and upcoming assessments so Adam can recommend relevant expertise.

Classroom and exam preparation can be combined when appropriate. We confirm the course, tutor expertise and availability individually. Standard K–12 support starts at $95/hour, honors at $100, AP at $105 and SAT/ACT preparation at $145.

A PERSONAL MATCH

One conversation.
A thoughtful next step.

You do not need to know which tutor to choose. Tell Adam or Brandy what is happening at school and what your family hopes will change.

01

Understand the need.

We discuss the coursework, the student’s confidence, your location and the schedule. Tell us if more than one subject needs attention.

02

Explain the tutor match.

Adam recommends a tutor he knows and explains the relevant background and teaching approach. We confirm the rate and first appointment with you.

03

Stay involved.

Meet the tutor and see how the first lesson goes. Adam checks in and remains available to refine the match, priorities or lesson schedule.

Tutoring close to home.

We can also check nearby addresses, generally within about a 20-minute drive. Coverage depends on the tutor, traffic and schedule. Share your ZIP code and preferred lesson format.
